NAVIGATIONAL RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP 2010
October 2010 Newsletter
The next two rounds of the championship are running on the same evening, one in Aberdeenshire and the other in the Borders.
Hairst Rally – 30th October
The Hairst Navigational Rally, organised by Stonehaven & District Motor Club Ltd., will start from Oldmeldrum and will be using OS Map 38.The event will be approximately 90 miles long with first car starting at 19:31hrs. The entry fee is £45.00 and includes two hot meals. The basic Lockton Insurance rate for the event (before any Loadings) is £16.28.

Early Winter Rally – 30th October
The Early Winter Navigational Rally, organised by Border Ecosse Car Club Ltd., will start from Coldstream and will be using OS Map 74. The event will be approximately 90 miles long with first car starting at 19:31hrs. The entry fee is £44.50 and includes two suppers at the finish venue. The basic Lockton Insurance rate for the event (before any Loadings) is £16.28.

Nuit Blanche - 27th March
This Saturday it’s the Nuit Blanche Rally, organised by Edinburgh University Motor Sport Club. The event will start near North Berwickand uses map 66. Entries close later tonight so if you are planning to compete then get you entry in soon.
I’ve spoken to Secretary of the Meeting, Bruce Holburn, this evening and he has said that there are already 11 entries in for the National B event.

Buglass Rally - 20th February ***POSTPONED***
Due to circumstances beyond the organisers control, the Buglass Rally was postponed. It may run later in the year and if this is the case then details will be issued in due course.
Gropers Rally - 6th March
Although the official closing date has passed for the next round in the championship, entries are still being accepted. If you are planning to compete, get your entry in ASAP, preferably by Thursday evening at the latest.

Nuit Blanche - 27th March
The Gropers Rally is follows three week later by the next round in the championship, The Nuit Blanche Rally, organised by Edinburgh University Motor Sport Club. The event will start near North Berwick and uses map 66.

Inter-Association Rally – 20th November
Northern Ireland will be hosting the 2010 Inter-Association Navigational Rally on Saturday 20th November and SACC would like to send over a team. We will be able to get funding from the association to assist with costs. If you are interested in going, please get in touch with me.

The Scottish Association of Car Clubs Navigational Rally Championship 2010
The Championship Supplementary Regulations are in the Downloads section below. Please take time to read them if you are planning to compete in the championship this year. There are a couple of small changes, particularly in the way the championship is scored, with the addition of a 'Bonus' point for competitors who enter each round by the closing date.
Boontree Birl – 30th January
Regulations for the first round of the championship, the Boontree Birl, organised by 750 Motor Club (Scotland) are attached. The event will start at AM Phillip, Trucktech, Muiryfaulds, Forfar and will finish at Aberlemno Village Hall. The event will be approximately 90 miles with first car away at 19:31hrs
Due to the MSA withdrawing the dispensation that allowed Navigational Rally competitors in Scotland to use a clubman licence, the minimum licence now required is a non-race National B and not as stated in the event regulations. Please ensure that you have the correct licence. Also, the basic insurance premium for the event (before any loadings) will be £16.28 and not as stated in the regulations. Buglass Rally - 20th February
The second round will be the Buglass Rally, organised by Berwick and District Motor Club. Regulations will be issued as soon as they become available.
Gropers Rally - 6th March
The Buglass Rally will be followed two weeks later with the Gropers Rally, organised by Stonehaven and District Motor Club. The event will start and finish at the Stracathro Serviices on the A90 and will be approximately 99 miles long with first car starting at 19:31hrs.
