The 2017 Championship
finished off with final round, 750MC’s BoontreeBirl Rally on 2nd

by Wallace/Thomson, only dropping 1 minute with the novice class being won by
the Ross twins who just dropped 2 minutes.

Overall competitors
seemed to enjoy the championship with the only negative comments being made
related to the amount of information provided to crews on events or the
difficulty of some of the clues on some events.
I’ve been in touch with organisers about this and hopefully 2018 will
address these issues.
As, technically, there
did not seem to be any bespoke awards for this championship and overly full
ESACC shields being used in the past, I have, with the permission of the
Chairman and Treasurer purchased 6 new shields to be presented annually to the
winners of each of the 3 drivers’ and navigators’ championships.
